    Text to speech control.

Is there a list of special characters or escape sequences I can use in Text To Speech to control the way the text is spoken? i.e. insert small pauses emphasis etc.

A comma "," or full stop "." will give you pauses, the more you use the longer the pause.

An exclamation mark "!", question mark "?" will change the way the phrase is pronounced.

Best way is to have a manual simple event and experiment.

        Thanks, both methods worked well.
I copied the SAPI test speech.txt into a hs.speak line replacing the " with ' and it worked well and is very cool.
The other method also works I found I had to separate the . and , with spaces else it spoke "dot" and "comma".
I'm sure I'll now be able to spend many hours playing with these!
