2 phone modems on HS?

Hi. I have two of the "HAL" PCI modems. One in service with HS and the other in a box as a spare. I was wondering if I could stick in the spare and use it on a different line? I don't need voicemail on the other line, but it might be nice for logging calls via callerid and triggering email pages if certain people call, etc....

Does HS support more than one phone modem?

Mike,

I don't believe that HSP supports more than one line any longer. However, if you wish to log CID information from another line and trigger events from it, the NetCallerID box and WAF-NetCallerID script might be an inexpensive solution with some appeal for you.

Mr. Kindred forgot (or perhaps did not realize) that the driver, which contains the microcode for the modem, cannot exist twice on the same system. Thus HomeSeer completely aside, you cannot run two of these modems in the computer at the same time - period. Sorry!
