    Command Line

    I am new to Homeseer.

I would like to know if I can run the Homeseer functions from and window's command line. If yes, what function I can do?

    Thanks

Using the Script Connector plugin, you can run any HomeSeer function from the command line.

Have a look at the Script Gallery for more info (first sample shows command line syntax):

You can also run any HomeSeer function from a Desktop shortcut. Very usefull. This also works from the command line or desktop shortcut on any remote computer...

You can also download the free homeseer command line exe and do this as well. It's called HSC.exe and should be available doing a search on this bb.

Which option is faster? The hsc.exe or the plugin?

-> I have a callerid app that can start a program on the command line. I use this to have HomeSeer announce the caller, but sometimes HomeSeer announces the caller only after the thirth ring or so. My guess is the command line script is taking too long....
