    PowerLinc USB

I purchased a Powerlinc USB and am having a few problems. I am having issues with some modules coming on/off by command from the Powerlinc. I have 2 modules with the same address (A9). When I used the CM11A, they would both go ON/OFF when given the command from Homeseer, but now only one of them comes on/off. This also happens with some modules that have their own address. I can get the other to come on using one of the plugged in keypads, so I'm not sure what the problem is. Does anyone have a suggestion on the problem?

    Thanks,

    Bobby

Do you have a coupler/repeater? This sounds like a problem with the signal reaching one of the devices but just not quite reaching the other. This is a bit surprising as I thought the PowerLinc had a stronger signal than the CM11A. For testing purposes, if you move both modules to the same outlet do they both respond?

Rupp, I don't have a coupler/repeater, but I never needed one with the CM11A. I will try plugging them into the same outlet. I will let you know. Thanks.

Rupp, I could not plug them both in the same outlet, but I switched them and the same outlet responded. Not sure what the problem is.

        Thanks,

Rupp, I took off the Powerlinc and put back on the CM11A and everything is back to working correctly. I guess I just wasted about $40. Live and learn.

          Thanks,

Im wondering if there has been an independant full test run on multile Powerling USB's and multiple of the other interfaces. I saw results on the one that were tested before but comming from the Consumer products industry I know very well that one Powerlik USB and another one manufactured on the same assembly line and the same day are not allways equal. All components going tinto the products have a slight variation shift from the targeted norm causing either beter or worse performance for the overall unit. I'd love to see results of about 32 of each of these units tested in the exact same setups and look at the averages over all. This will give us a real good view of which unit is best.
