Rupp,
How quickly I forget!!!! Now I remember that you worked diligently on this issue back in 2005. I was using logmonitor during my dial-up days!!
I hope it solves the problem for Jerry -- it certainly did for me!

I use a script to search the log for various events. The script runs every night just before midnight. You could perfrom such a search every 4-6 hours and have the script send you and email if it finds an error message.

Monitoring the log
Is there a simple way to have HS2 send an email to a specified address anytime a certain error (or any one of a few specified errors) appears in the log? I notice that from time to time (typically every month or so), my Zwave controller (I have the Z-troller) goes incommunicado, which means none of my lights or shades work properly, and it usually takes me a few hours to realize what has gone wrong. It would be nice to have something automatically monitor the HS log for me and let me know when this happens. Any ideas? thanksTags: None
