    Receiving unknown X10 codes

    Hi,

Since I installed a CTX35 (ACT TI103) I receive lots of X10 codes(see below), which I don't know whre they come from. I had a CM11, and I don't seem to remember I had this much of unknown X10 codes.
I don't use the "M" house code in homeseer or in one of my devices. Where do they come from ??

well to be honest 1 of 2 ways..

1 is either run around the house and unplug EVERYTHING except for computer of course....

          or

2 shut off every breaker you can and see if the problem goes away...

usually you want to do it in steps...

like if you have a 20 breaker panel.. and you know you can shut off 10 of them... then do it and see if the problem is still there.. then if it is.. you can turn them back on and do the others 1 at a time...

also is this a new issue?
troubleshoot it like everything else.. think what was the last things plugged in... as insane as a electric shaver, extension cord, lamp , glade plugin or whatever......

In the USofA this is slightly more difficult than on this side of the pond.

1st question has to be, have you purchased, and installed, any new appliances, such as a fridge/freezer, UPS for the computer, TV, new central heating/air conditioning system, anything that runs a motor or transformer? It could also be an X10 unit which has gone wild. Do you use motion sensors, the battery type, it could be a flat battery.

1st Suggestion, unplug items one at a time and see if the problem goes.

2nd Suggestion, check if anyone in the neighbourhood has just installed X10.

Looking at the log, it is definitely noise, or a flat battery in a motion sensor, except they tend to revert to A1, not always though.

Oh, last thought, it could be an X10 unit that has gone rouge.

              YEEESSSS,

I nailed down the noisy device(s), It was a energy saving lamp which I replaced and my Plasma TV, which has a filter now.
