Webcamxp and x10 camera do they work?

I am experimenting with security cameras and a friend gave me some x10 wireless camera (model xc18a) so I can experiment with. I downloaded the webcamxp program to see if this cameras can react with the x10 cameras. I also have a video to usb adapter which aim using for the test. I can see the cameras thru a monitor very well but when I connect the camera to the webcamxp software I only get a black screen. I read the instruction on the webcanxp and it said to rigth click on one of the small squares to select the input.

I am selecting "intel PC camera pro for the camera" but noting happens ( of course I have never work with this software before so, aim only guessing). I was wondering if anybody have achieved any progress with his type of equipment before????r

Yes that will work.. You say "video to usb adapter" if that is the VA11 then you DONT HAVE THE DRIVERS installed if you have "intel PC camera pro".

Try google for VA11 USB drivers.

You can use the Jon00 page builder plugin to create a web page that will display the image captured by your camera.

I use "Imagehttp://192.168.1.100:8080/cam_1.jpg,225,165" to display the last image captured by the camera.

I think you need to save an image to the html directory.

The trial version may not let you stream.

Quote from their website "A free single source version is available for private use !"

As far as I can see that streams?

Yes, it does stream.. 4 button clicks and its working.
