you will hear people saying that the 1132u is prone to failure... im still using mine for 5 years now and LOVE IT!!!! got rid of my cm11a..

I have heard the TI-103 (think that is it) is better but I have no need to switch!!!!! mine works great..

you dont have pm yet.. but I have one im gonna put in the f/s section.. just so you know.... if interested get your post count up so you can have PM and shoot one over to me.... good luck

I'm still using a 1132u (for what X10 I have left) here with no problems but the TI-103 is most definitely better. I don't know if it's available as a USB device.

Playing with HS3 a bit but it's just play at this point.

The 1132U is the only good USB controller left. The best controller that is left is the TI-103 but it's a serial device.

I do NOT like the PowerLinc USB. My log is filled with these

          9/28/2008 7:54:01 PM X10 Received G All Lights On
9/28/2008 7:54:01 PM Warning Powerlinc USB connection lost, resetting
          9/28/2008 7:54:01 PM Info PowerLinc USB Plug-in, Version 1.0.11
9/28/2008 7:54:01 PM Startup PowerLinc USB initialized successfully

The " G All Lights On" received seem to crash the PowerLinc every time.
In my system, G All Lights On is sent by an X10 PowerFlash that is wired to a magnetic switch on the door to the garage.

Nextly - The Windows process list shows that the PowerLinc driver is polling the Powerlinc several times a second... What crappy software design:
hspi_powerlincusb.exe - - I/O reads and writes sit there counting up rapidly.

I would really like to have a better X10 transceiver. I do not want to spend $$$ changing to other than X10 throughout the house.

Odd, I believe you are the only one to report problems like this. I would suspect a bad 1132U or a bad set of USB drivers.
