It appears that this issue lies within the Ti103 plugin as the first Extended X10 command received after the standard E04 EON is properly passed on to HS. However, all subsequent ones are not passed on.

Please try the attached version of the plugin (v2.0.4) and see if:
      1) subsequent extended cmds are now passed through
      2) no new problems have been introduced

      To install this version:
      1) download the attached file to your main HS directory
      2) shut down HS
      3) backup the existing plugin file by renaming it from 'hspi_ti103.ocx' to 'hspi_ti103.ocx.bak'
      4) rename the new file from 'hspi_ti103.ocx.txt' to 'hspi_ti103.ocx'
      5) restart HS

Please let me know how this version works.

Great, thanks a lot! This seems to work a lot better. As far as I can see everything works fine now. And it is stable for the last 12 hours.

Now I will make a script that triggers on the extended code, so I can set the status of my shutters correctly in Homeseer. (I thought that shutter extended codes where standard, why doesn't Homeseer recognize them and updates the DIM status on the devices?)

BTW, I noticed that the status of my light dim modules are much more consistently reflected in Homeseer with this version as well.

        Thanks again!

I found something else (but I am not sure if that is caused by version 2.0.4 or was already there in previous versions), multiple dim commands received will not show in Homeseer. Only the first one.

                      Guys,

I just set up a ZAX12 this afternoon. I am using HS latest stable build and the CM11 interface... I can't see any status being reflected in HS when I operate the shutter control locally... I am also not sure I set the device up correctly in HS. Since there is none to choose from I checked standard dim and supports status requests... any ideas?

                      Thanks!

                        pyspilf,

I could not really find much technical info on the Xanura ZAP12 so the following is just an educated guess.

From this doc http://www.hal-europe.com/fileadmin/...401_BA-zax.pdf it appears the unit only receives X10 commands and does not report it's position back onto the powerline. Here are the X10 commands it responds to:
                        ON = Fully up
                        OFF = Fully down
Bright = Optional intermediate up position
Dim = Optional intermediate down position

So, your choice of a 'standard dim' device in HS is correct.

If you use an X10 controller to command a position, HS should 'see' the commands and reflect the dim level (position) of the shuter. However, if you use the controls on the unit, the position would not be transmitted back onto the powerline and HS would not know the position. This is what is referred to as "open loop" control; you command the device to move and assume that it did.

If you have any technical info for the unit please share it so we may discuss this further.
                        Best regards,
                        -Mark-

                          Mark.

thanks for the reply. I'll admit now to being very confused! LOL!!!!

I understood, from the 1st post in this thread, that the ZAX12 was indeed issuing X10 commands on the powerline that reflected its current position even when operated manually. I was wondering if there is any specific way to create the device in HS for correct operation and if the CM11 will receive the data that is being discussed here for the TI103 interface...

I replaced two SW10 X10 shutter modules with ZAX12 units with the hope of some "closed loop" control at last! I wonder if there's anybody in the forum using the CM11 with a ZAX12 module...

Edit: by the way, I just checked the URL of the file you posted, and the unit must be an older version prior to the ZAX12 (it is exactly the same, or so it looks, as the SW10 - no status - units I swapped out), and that could be why you found no reference to status info.

                          Cheers

                            pyspilf,

Well, it appears that I am a giant dork and forgot that this thread was started by sddroog asking about ZAX12 extended data issues! Sorry, this module is a 2-way device.

Notice in post #4 of this thread where sddroog says
Now I will make a script that triggers on the extended code, so I can set the status of my shutters correctly in Homeseer. (I thought that shutter extended codes where standard, why doesn't Homeseer recognize them and updates the DIM status on the devices?)
Unfortunately, HS does not handle shutter devices, so a script or plugin will need to be created to handle this. You might try asking sddroog if he (she?) is willing to share his (her) script with you.
                            Best regards,
                            -Mark-

OK, that is good, so now I know at least I have a 2-way capable device... question is, will the CM11 interface receive the data sent by the ZAX12 or will I need to resort to scripts...?

                              Cheers
