    X10 shutter support

    Hi,

I am a little surprised that a standard X10 shutter switch (like the Xanura ZAX12) isn't supported in Homeseer out of the box. I had to write a couple of scripts to make it work and to let it update the Homeseer status page.

Yesterday I found this document on the web ftp://ftp.x10.com/pub/manuals/xtc798.doc and since it came from the X10 site and was dated in 1993, I started wondering why it hasn't been implemented in Homeseer or a plug-in.

I am a new homeseer user for about two weeks now, so perhaps I just missed something. In that case, I apologize and would appreciate a little help on how to use it properly.

    Thanks!

    Hi sddroog,

I have 10 SW10 X10 shutter switches, and have been using them with HomeSeer, configured as standard dimmable X10 modules (basically, on/off and dim) - they work fine this way, but only change to show on when shutters are up, and off when they are down. The dim bit is unreliable... the shutters fundamentally end up anywhere they feel like with a dim command...

I am curious to know how you set yours up, especially considering I am about to swap out 2 burnt out SW10 modules with the ones from Xanura.

    Cheers
