    Writing Script's

I now realise that learning about basic script writing would be an absolute asset when using HS.

I have done a few searches but there is an abundance of books out there !

Can anyone recommend a good, absolute beginners guide to get me started.

Try doing a search using Beginner Scripting and you will find some good advice on getting started in HomeSeer/VB/VB.net scripting.

If would recommend that you start learning .NET from the start instead of just using vScript. Here is a great link:

See the HomeSeer Help files too!

It helped me to look at some of the scripts in the script library on this board for examples of how to do various things. For HomeSeer specific scripting commands, be sure to check out the HomeSeer help files for commands to make HS speak, turn on lights, etc.

Click "Help" from your HomeSeer web page, then:
        • Click HomeSeer Help Files
        • Click Using Scripts
        • Click Scripting functions
