Is this a Vista installation? If so you need to load the Microsoft scripting engine as Vista no longer includes this.
You need to install the scripting engine from here:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

As far as Insteon goes - did you load the PLC Insteon plugin or the PLM Insteon plugin? If you are not sure disable the plugin via the setup>Interfaces tab and then shutdown HS. Next delete the HSPI_Insteon.dll from the HomeSeer root folder. The start HomeSeer up and load the correct plugin. Also ensure you are not running HS as a service when installing new software.

      i/o interface not enabled?

It was Vista. I went to XP on that machine and everything worked fine. After reboot, I get this message...

I'm not sure where to go to fix this...

** You do not have the I/O interface enabled in HomeSeer **
Insteon functions are only available when the I/O interface is enabled.

** Unable to communicate with the Insteon powerline interface ***
Please make sure the interface is installed correctly and restart the plug-in.
