control remote speaker client via event

Is there a way to connect/disconnect a remote speaker client via an event? I have a remote speaker client running at work and I would like to have a timed event to connect disconnect automatically

    Jack,
I hate to suggest a solution that requires you to buy a plugin, but I'd bet that the stipus script connect would be able to do what you want:

you could also create a system event and use the guide mentioned here, just replace outlook.exe with speaker.exe.

this would be a local solution that would be completely independant of your hs computer, of course.
