Decora Style "Stick a switch"?

Ok, so I have these and use them now:

They actually work better then the "gold" style ones I bought a while ago...

Anywhoo...I actually have a use for one of these...that only uses ONE button...It would need to look like a decora style switch.

Any ideas? I poked around in X10.com and automatedoutlet.com ... I did not see anything. I'm thinking I might have to cobble something together by hacking up a stick a switch or something.

I'd like to see one like that as well. I'd also LOVE to have a slender X-10 doorbell stick-a-switch, too.

If you are going to try to build your own, maybe you could order a decora paddle from SmartHome (Insteon color change kit: http://www.smarthome.com/2400AL/Padd...-Almond/p.aspx) They are about $6 - I envision putting a rubber foot at the top & bottom of the paddle to press on your stick-a-switch to send X10 commands.

I have a wireless X10 door/window security device that has an input to monitor a switch closure. You could add a doorbell button to that, and send X10 commands when you press it.

I use a standard doorbell button connected to a DS10A. This works "most of the time" but there are times when the doorbell button does not make contact when it is not pressed hard enough. We need to find a small push button switch that has tactile feedback and a 100% reliability. If you look at older push button switches, some of them have a mechanism inside that uses a spring to guarantee the contact is closed when the button is pushed. I wish I could find this type of mechanism in a small/attractive package.

That's similar to what I mean.

I'm thinking I can really use any X10 RF "thing" attached, so long as it goes ON / OFF ONCE (as the DS10A does). For COST / ease of install reasons, I wanted just a stick a switch kind of setup...

But, what I'd do to "hack" one, is just take a normal 110V decora paddle (I've got boxes of them), put in a LV mount into the wall (again, already have one somewhere in the house) then attach a DS10A to one set of contacts for the switch. Then the wife can flip the switch, and bang, HS is updated and the light it turned on.

A lot more work then just taking the cover off the tape and sticking to the wall.
