The other issue I see is the SDM is still attempting to start when you are using a PLM which no longer uses the PLC Insteon plugin. Did you load the correct plugin?

In your opening remarks you state that you have a PLM, but in your log it's trying to load the SDM and look for a PLC. That is why it is hanging. You have the wrong plug-in installed.

Remove/Uninstall the Insteon plug-in and SDM from HomeSeer, then reload HomeSeer. Go to the Installer and install the Insteon Plug-in for the PLM.

      Will work much better!

Thanks for the ideas...I have both the the X10 and just added Insteon...are they incompatable? Will try the reinstall idea for both.
Back to you in awhile with results.
OBTW, deleting the database item Porch and kitchen Lamp may be problematic...have tried -- but no joy!

            Not so fast, buffalogr.
Obtained and tried to install the right Insteon plug in for the PLM. The PLM device is in the USB port and I believe the software is correct?

Everything went OK with the install until it stalled and couldnt find the device. Help?

In your log it's still trying to run the SDM. There is no need for the SDM if you have the PLM. So you still need to completely Uninstall the Insteon plug-in. Reboot, make sure there is no reference to the SDM on startup. Then go to the updater and get the Insteon Plug-in for the PLM, called 'Insteon PLM 2412 Plug-in'. It's the second of the two plug-in's.

                Hope this helps.
