    CM11A to Insteon PLM

    Hi,

I have been using a CM11A to control my x-10 gadgets for the last 12 years. I now have an Insteon PLM.

I bought the serial version of it. It was easy to simply plug it behind my desk but it's too close to my PC and USP so it doesn't work. My CM11A is in another room for the same reason.

Is anybody has replace a CM11A with an Insteon PLM for X-10 and Insteon? Did you use the same rs232 cable?

Are you trying to use your PLM to control your X10 devices? If so this may not work as the PLC/PLM's are notoriously bad at X10 signals.

There alway someting... I wish it worked.

Now I will have to build an RS232 cable using cat5 from my office to my utility room...
