ZRR150 appliance receptacle

This device accepts a couple of parameter that the instruct say can be set with a ZTH100 wireless controller. It looks like the controller sends a magic sequence that enable the device to respond /ready itself for configuring. Specifically I would like to enable the LED indicator to be on when the receptacle is off -opposite of the default behavior. The instruction call this mode nightlight (parameter 3) mode and the value should be set to 1 for my application. Any suggestion short of buying a ZTH100 wireless controller?

You will need a hand held controller to do this.

Does you comment that I need a handheld controller suggest ANY brand will do or do I need brand specifc to expouse/set the devices parameters? Making a WAG (wild *** guess) I would think I would need brand specifc or will any brand do?
