FYI for users writing vbs scripts

For those developing Homeseer scripts in vbs (as opposed to vb.net), here is some information that you may be interested in.

There is a complete vb script reference manual at:

http://www.indusoft.com/pdf/VBScript%20Reference.pdf. This a very nice manual with almost 200 pages of material.

For those who want to do more things with vb script (like writing and reading files, printing, managing drives and printer, etc, there is a great book available. It is an older book (around 2000 or so, but I don't believe that Microsoft has added anything to VB script since then.

Anyway, for those that are interested, the book is:

Windows 2000 Scripting Bible from Wiley. Amazon has used copies for as low as $.48 plus shipping. The book has lot of information and is 650+ pages long.

If you do VB script in Homeseer, I would recommend that you obtain both.

I highly recommend "VBScript Programmer's Reference" published by Wrox Press http://www.wrox.com/WileyCDA/WroxTit...470168080.html
I've used it for years and still find it an invaluable reference.

My other invaluable resource is the VBScript area on MSDN: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/libr...h6(VS.85).aspx
      Best regards,
