    IR integration thoughts

I currently have a xantech ir distribution system in my house. I want to integrate IR into homeseer but not sure what is my best bet. I see Ocelot, bitwise, Global Cache, IrTrans and so one. So I am not sure what is my best bet. To me is seems the Global Cache is not very supported any more.

So what is my best bet to integrate into my xantech system to send and receive IR into Homeseer?

    Thanks!

The bitwise has very good board support.

IRman on RS232 (or the newer UIRT-USB) is what I use. PC gets an ASCII string that's unique to each remote and key that's pressed. There are several software packages (free) that accept these and then synthesize key-presses directed to you selected window/application.

I am in the same process, because my JDS IR-expander died.

Considering the Xantech IR distibution and the Bitwise, see here: http://board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=139758
