Schlage Lock Event for Invalid Code Entered

I am finally getting around to setting up some events for my Schlage lever lock. I have 4 codes entered and the lock itself is working great.

I am trying to setup an event so that when an invalid code is entered, I get an email and trigger a webcam picture. I cant find any event triggers for an invalid code entered.

Is there a different device value that indicates an invalid code?

    Thanks

I do exactly that but I don't think you can set it to fire an event when a bad code is entered. Only when the lock see's a brute force attempt on it by somebody entering to many bad codes. I'm not sure what that threshold is though.

Never thought of that happening. Next logical question is: How long does the lock remain disabled in this case (before I go playing)?

Don't know, I did test it once a long time ago.

May be in the locks documentation.

So, "Lock Disabled due to Tamper" is a brute force attack? I assumed it was that the cover was removed. Hmmmm..... I might have to play around with that - thanks...

Ya I'm not sure if it can detect tampering with the case or not but I am sure that if you bang out enough bad codes it will trigger that event

              It would appear that:

"Schalge also freezes the entry panel for 30 seconds once 4 incorrect codes are entered.*"

Now that sounds perfect - I'll test that out tonight - thanks!

                  Well, it sorta works....

If you enter an invalid code 4 times, it will lock you out, but HS holds that status (Tamper Lock-Out) forever; or until a valid code is entered.

I'm playing around with my event setup so that I get a single text message, and then try forcing the lock to a Locked state to see if the status changes.

Set your event to "Device Value Change"

"name of your device" User Code "becomes" "Lock Disabled due to Tamper"

It should only fire the event once.
