Activation what ifs

I am about to activate my Homeseer license on my production Homeseer running in a VM. As I can easily switch around hardware for this virtual machine, I would like to know what hardware pieces that the license keys off of that I should always leave alone. I don't want to accidentally cause it to de-activate. Does anyone have enough experience to know what will or will not trigger re-activation of both Homeseer and popular plugins (like mcsSprinklers)?

OK, for lack of response from Homeseer, or anyone with experiences, I will assume the usual suspects like NIC mac, volume id, and etc. I will be pretty annoyed though if deactivation occurs while changing around more peripheral hardware.
