    LED pool lighting

I need to replace my Aqualamp bulbs in my pool which are incandesant. I wanted to control the lighting with HS and furthermore change the bulbs if possible to something more efficent (do I dare say green?). Anyway, around these parts (Ottawa Canada), they are asking in the neighbourhood of $300 per bulb for LED lighting.

Does anyone know of anything more reasonable??? Ouch!

true lighting or more for ambiance?

i bought 50 led's with 12v resisters off of ebay for $8 shipped...
i used 8 in my fish tank (55 gal) for moon light.. and tell you what.. they are nice.. but are blue...

white would be brighter.. at that price you could put a few in one to get more light.....

just a thought... i havent tried the multiples in 1 yet as the rest are going to go into my pickup truck.... then i will be seeing how bright are 5/10/20 (but still in blue)...

Thanks...but I think I'm looking for a bulb type replacement. Seems like no option other than forking out big bucks. Then again, it may not be worth any electricity savings as you can get a 60 watt replacement incandesant for $35.
May take some time to break even to the $265 difference.
