    Starting Zwave

I'm kind of a newbie. I was gonna start adding some Zwave to my home automation and was just wondering what I'll have to invest in. My idea was this. I have homeseer. Can I just buy the usb stick and a module or two to get started? Do I have to buy any other plugins or software, like z-seer?

A controller(USB Stick) and a couple of modules and you will be up and running or a least started. What version of Homseer are you are running - if you are running Pro you can download Z-Seer.

If you are going to go with Z-Wave I would highly recommend getting the Z-Troller. It has excellent range and be relocated away from the PC easily if needed.

Thanks but price is an issue right now and I wanted to give Zwave a try. I have X10 but have been frustrated with noise from CFL's and I don't see that getting better in the near future. Insteon has similar problems from what I can tell so it seems like RF may be the way to get around that. The problem with Zwave for me is that it looks like they don't have any toggle switches and I don't want rockers all over my house (actually I don't mind but my wife does).
