    PLC vs W7 64-bit

Bacause of a computer failure, I was just forced to move HS2 to a new W7 64bit computer. After spending most of yesterday trying to get Insteon to work, I saw some messages here that SDM3 won't work with 64bit machines.

If this is true, then I have to change to the PLM, even though I really do not want to. However, as far as I can tell, the SDM is actually talking to Homeseer and I know that people were still using it with 64bit Vista.

When I start HS2, I get the following entries in the log file that seem to indicate that HS has successfully connected to the PLC/SDM:

8/10/2011 10:10:17 PM - Insteon - Connected to SDM component, Checking Insteon interface connection...
    8/10/2011 10:10:19 PM - Insteon - Insteon interface found containing firmware version 2.13 (Version 2 Revision 13)
    8/10/2011 10:10:19 PM - Insteon - Insteon interface Address: 06.6A.41
    8/10/2011 10:10:19 PM - Insteon - I/O(Insteon Protocol) Interface Initializing...
    8/10/2011 10:10:19 PM - Insteon - Reloading 13 Insteon device information tables...
    8/10/2011 10:10:20 PM - Insteon - I/O(Insteon Protocol) Interface Initialized.
    8/10/2011 10:10:20 PM - Plug-In - Finished initializing plug-in Insteon

When I use HS2 to send a command to an Insteon light, it appears that the command goes out and I can see it also in the SDM window itself. But nothing happens. The lights don't respond. So, for instance, I just tried to use HS2 to turn on the living room lamp. Here is what the HS2 log shows:

8/11/2011 1:18:55 PM - Device Control - Device: Living Room Reading Lamp (\1) ON

Here is what the SDM3 showed:

    ui:SendInsteonRaw=00 00 00 01 69 26 0A 11 FF
    si:00 00 00 01 69 26 0A 11 FF
PLC:ERROR=012:MapNotLoaded-PLC not connected or no valid map. Try using isResponding first.
    PLC:sendinsteonraw=True
    uifinished:SendInsteonRaw=00 00 00 01 69 26 0A 11 FF

When I follow the SDM's advice and "Try using isResponding first", I get:

    isresponding=True

So.... does anyone have any insight what the PLC error means? Is this really because the PLC won't work with W764? Any help would be gratefully received!
