How can you cancel a 'delayed action' event with another event?

Dont worry just figured it out for myself. Don't look in the trigger area. Its in the Action area 'cancel delayed action'

I have an event that spawns a delayed action event for a device to turn it off. I want to delete the 'delayed action' event if the device in question is turned off manually.
Any ideas on how to do this?
    TIA

Does the device report its status to HS? If it does, do you have to poll it, or is it automatic? If it is an automatic status, then you should be able to use it to trigger an event.

If HS is unaware of manual changes, then you'll need to monitor the on/off status independently.

What kind of device is it?
What is the consequence of sending it an off command if it has already been turned off manually?
