    homeseer-wireless alarm system

I am going to purchase Homeseer in next few days. Reading this message board has totaly convinced me that this is the best product out. I am a newbie and I have a basic x-10 setup with some lights and switches being controlled by remote and cm11a.

I am looking to purchase a wireless alarm system and was wondering if anyone had experience with intergrating a wireless system into homeser. I am wondering what features can be integrated from the alarm system into to homeseer? Most importantly what wireless alarm system is recommended for reliability and features available?

    Thanks,

    Mike

    Mike,
Welcome to the HS bb. The alarm system question has been covered extensively in the past so try these as a start:

      Thanks Rupp....

as a newbie to this field, I sometimes overlook the obvious...the search button.
especially since I don't even know what to search for.

I've thought about using some DS10A (?) modules for wireless security on the cheap, but if you own a home and have lots of "stuff" you may be better off buying a "true" security system and integrating it with your HA set-up.

Note: the el-cheapo DS10A sensors only work with the W800 transceiver..not the more common ones (ie Cm11a, Powerlinc, Cm19a, etc.)

        Treetop,
Just for clarification, the Cm11A and the Powerlinc are powerline interfaces while the CM19a, MR26a, and W800 are RF interfaces (receivers).
