help with error message

I am getting the following error message on startup

"Voice recognition was detected as damaged, but has been repaired
You must restart HomeSeer before voice recognition can be used"

When I restart homeseer the message does not disapear. As a result I am not able to control anything from the homeseer program. I did uninstall and reinstall and the same problem continues.

Any ideas?

Mike,
Go to Start > Control panel > speech On the speech recognition tab create a new profile. This should fix your problem. You can delete your last one that was damaged.

I have the same problem. It's a new machine running XP Home. I tried Rupp's suggestion and went through the training with a new profile and deleted the old. Everything seemed to work fine, but HS still reports it as damaged and then repaired. No joy.

Caramba. Reading further in other threads, I tried the part about "Always listen for voice commands" in the VR Options of HS. Now it works. So you can't have that box unchecked and no string in the Attention command box.
