A/V Receiver features
I'm about to embark on putting a combined surround setup / music system into the basement. Beyond the placement of the speakers in a 5.1 or 7.1 system, are there any other considerations? I've noticed that some more expensive ones have two HDMI outputs. Im assuming this could facilitate a projector and a flat panel? I'm thinking that you might not want to use the projector every time you want to watch TV. Alternately, can both of these normally be active at the same time?
I noticed that many of these can be controlled via RS232/Ethernet via Ultrajones Plugins, or other, which is a bonus.
Can anyone add any pros /cons to these setups or things to watch out for when shopping for a receiver?
I was going to hit the AVS forums, but I'd thought I'd try the HS people first.
