Everspring Appliance Module - inclusion?

Does anyone know how to include these things? The instructions that come with it are quite literally the worst I have ever seen

They mention that the device can be included (doh) and say that when you first plug it in the LED will blink.

It does not, if I push the button the lamp comes on so the module works and I have tried a few of these modules. If I hold the button the lamp starts changing in brightness

I have tried plugging the thing in within 2 feet of the USB controller but same results

Any help?

Try deleting the device before adding it

Click three times within 1.5 seconds and it will enter inclusion mode.
