Optex W1000 Annunciator 24 volts dc relay -> Smarthome 2450 I/O Linc sensor input

    Hi!

Since the Smarthome 2450 I/O Linc sensor input support 5 volts MAXIMUM, if I want to connect my Optex W1000 Annunciator output relay, which is providing probe at 24v dc, I need to decrease the voltage before hooking it up to the input sensor?

Does a voltage regulator (LM7805) is appropriate to perform that?

    Thanks.

FYI, the N/O or N/C contacts from the Optex W1000 Announciator can be directly connected to the input relay of the Insteon I/O Linc 2450 device, since the Optex relay is a dry contact, AND CAN PROVIDE IF REQUIRED UP TO 24v DC (like if we connect an external door chime).
