    WiFi3Serial

Has anyone used the GC WF2SR device? I have it on the network but cannot get it to work with the Ztroller. Should I see it on the hometroller? GC tech support says no. Once configured they say you should not see it.

Although the HT is not wifi the router is and they say it should work.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

Its been a while since I set mine up, but I think you have to run the iTach software first to get it configured. Once you get tIP address, you go into HS and add it as an ethernet interface:
    Attached Files
    HS4Pro on a Raspberry Pi4
    54 Z-Wave Nodes / 21 Zigbee Devices / 108 Events / 767 Devices
    Plugins: Z-Wave / Zigbee Plus / EasyTrigger / AK Weather / OMNI

    HSTouch Clients: 1 Android

I did just that. Should I see a new comport created in device manager? All I see is the 4 ports on the Hometroller. I think that is the problem. I need to create that port in order to use it. I downloaded the software to create the port.

See the bootom have of the screen shot. It's an ethernet port address you are after.

When you have an ethernet-to-serial, you really dont care about a COM port anymore. You need to add it as an ethernet with an IP address. Mine is added as a secondary controller.

I think I found the problem but not the solution. I used the flash drive to install everything new. Then connected the GC device. Fried to communicate with it and received a WINSOCK error. I have no idea what causes this but the redirect software could not communicate with the GC device.

Thank you for your help. Whatever is wrong I don't know how to fix.
