I don't generally do a lot for Halloween; it's only one night afterall; but my old Robo-Dog was pressed into service today.
Doorbell rings... Vicious dog starts barking behind the visitor. I expect one or two little ghouls may be going home early to change their pants.
Simple but effective.
BOOwaahaaahaaahaaa!

I am in the same boat... no time...
but i did get a few things up and running... only 1 outlet setup in HS..and it is x10... O2
and while I can use HS webpage or HSTouch to turn on and off the device... my Event is not working.. not sure why.. but even manually triggering it im getting nothing....
oh well will look at it in the future... but halloween is almost here..
I did notice that if I set HSTouch to turn on the front porch light on @ 30% (dimmable led).. it goes bright, dimms, off then on full... think for halloween Ill do that just for the Halloween ambiance.. just wish it wasnt white.....

Wish I had more time again this year, but the day job has had me too busy to do anything more than a couple of decorations this year. <sigh> maybe next year. Until then keep your photos coming!

I also found some music that I think would go good with a yard haunt.
There is a group called the "Midnight Syndicate".
I think Noctem Aeternus would be good for outside bushes music.
They did several albums and I will probably use that music next year.

Might have to look at that for next year. I like to be in the action outside not stuck behind a wall, but it made the mask very interactive. One of the teenagers asked my daughter if this was live or recorded, and I started talking to him.
I did get lots of comments about how cool this was. I guess it was the best thing in the neighboorhood since there really wasnt anything other than people handing out candy. There is a guy on the next street that puts up 15 or 20 blowup pumpkins and cats and halloween yard statues.
Maybe I will plan for more next year. I live on a corner lot, so not a real long driveway like outbackrob looks like he has.
Maybe with more advanced planning I could do more. We will see.

When they cant see you all self respect goes out the window. . . .
Actually, that looks interesting. The characters are the same so I bet they are working together.
i liked the x10 hooks, could enable a smoke machine or strobe or something.
