    Honeywell zwave thermostat

I have a honeywell Zwave thermostat with at least 3 zwave devices within 10 ft of the thermostat. All my devices are green (xcellent reception)But im constantly getting this error in my log. I poll every 2 minutes and get rthis error anout 20 x in 3 hours<TABLE border=0 cellSpacing=2 cellPadding=0 width="100%"><TBODY><TR><TD class=LOGDateTime1 noWrap align=left>

    10/21/2012 12:04:40 PM
    </TD><TD class=LOGType1 colSpan=3 align=left>ZWave Thermostats </TD><TD class=LOGEntry1 colSpan=8 align=left>Aborting poll of this thermostat due to and error retrieving the temperature. Node: 27</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

    Thanks

There are 3 ways to poll ZWave:

On the device screen (in seconds)
    A recurring event to run a script - &hs.pollDevice("Q99")
A recurring event with a ZWave action to poll a node

Out of these 3 methods, the best way for me is to use &hs.pollDevice("Q99")

Are any of the devices near the stat beaming devices?

No, but I get significantly fewer polling errors with option 2...

Rupp - beaming is for zwave security classes like locks, not for thermostats.

It's hard to say. I still get errors, but option 2 gives me way fewer.
When you use option 2, and you poll every 2 mins, make sure you have the checkboxes checked:

For some reason I thought this stat needed beaming devices but I could be wrong.

                    John,

                    See:

                    http://board.homeseer.com/showthread...=147889&page=8 Message #151.

This error appeared when I migrated to 2.5.0.20 in May 2011. I reported it in the 'Bugzilla' database as bug #86. Bugzilla seems to have bugged out ..

FWIW I have a single WDTC-20 thermostat and no 'beaming' devices.
