Need Help for Software and Hardware decision

Hi Guys,
What would you do in my case ?
Software:
I need HSPro in summer next year for my new House, but now there are 50% off, buy them now and play around or wait for summer next year ?
Hardware:
Use my old Laptop for run HSPro and a Music server together, or buy a new Computer or Laptop with an i3/i5 Processor ?

Buy it now so you can start getting familiar with HomeSeer and if the old lap top is in good shape and it's not used for other tasks then use it until it fails. This way you can also see if the laptop is going to meet your hardware needs.
