Hi all,
I have a DSC PC1832 (v4.2) panel with an RFK5500 keypad that provides wireless. I just bought a wireless fire alarm sensor (WS4926) and a wireless CO sensor (WS4913). I was able to add the fire alarm sensor with no problems and it tests fine. However, for the CO sensor, there's no specific zone definition for a wireless gas detector. I've tried both the standard gas detector (zone definition 13) and wireless fire (zone definition 88) and neither work. Has anyone added these CO detectors to an existing DSC panel? I've done some googling and it looks like I may need a newer version the PC1832 panel (v4.5 or newer). Can anyone confirm this?
Thanks
Al
EDIT: If I remove the sensor from its mounting plate, the zone it's assigned to changes to "Opened" however, when I press the test button, the DSC system does not change status. Is there a way to test/confirm that it will trigger the alarm in case it detects CO?
