Use speaker client to record a wav?

I have a routine that requires the user to speak a statement and I process that using a Speech to Text engine so I can process the returned string.

This works well - BUT the next step is to make it work with a speaker client - and right now, I have no idea how to start that process? I need the Speaker client to initiate the recording, not the HS Server PC itself..... Can I do this?

This is not possible as far as I know. There are no SDK calls into the speaker client.

That's depressing I have a routine working that sends to Google for Speech 2 text and that has huge potential for home automation (I have Wiki Searches Working, and other open ended questions) - but it will only work on the single sound card since the speaker client cant do the recording.

I can of course output it to any card, but the recording portion is an issue
