    Schlage RS100HC Door/Window Sensor (Z-wave)

Has anyone gotten these working with Homeseer v2x ?

I can't seem to be able to get it to optimize or even scanned
for abilities. Homeseer sees status change but even that appears
to be flakey. It seems to incorporate the beaming sleep stuff.
I updated my z-troller to 1.17 just to make sure schlage compatible.

    Thank for any insight?

Installed one just yesterday, because I could not optimize my two Aeon Labs sensors ("Could not optimize due to unknown error"). The Aeon Labs sensors were definitely unreliable. However, I have the same problem with this Schlage one regarding optimiizing. I have got it scanned for its abilities and it does seem to report correctly, but it is too soon to know whether this sensor will report reliably.

      Thanks for the response -

Well after fiddling for a long time I discovered that the only way
I could get homeseer to both scan and optimize the sensor was
to remove the sensor cover so that the tamper alarm light is solid
red... maybe keeping the sensor awake long enough to be discovered
I don't know... Now I'll have to see if it is any more reliable..

Please post any results you have gotten.

      Thanks!

Bravo, dallison, that was what it took! Thanks very much.

I will report on the reliability after several days of use. It is set up on one of my garage doors to trigger events when the door is opened/closed and the opened/closed states are conditions for events related to a car RFID to open or close the door.

I have to say since it has been optimized... it's been fine
          so far.. makes sense.

Yeah, I do the same thing via RFID in my cars and looking to
see if the door is already open and not closing it whilst the wife
          is coming up the driveway

Glad to hear you are back in business. Yes, let me know how
it goes if you get the chance.

            help with these sensors

Has anyone else noticed with these that they often trip the "tampered signal" often and the light stays red? Even worse is if its tripped when its closed then the signal stays as closed even though its been tampered thus if someone were to open the door at this state they could walk right in? Its random and its on every one of the RS100HC's that I have. Some do it more than others. I can't seem to figure out what causes it. The case is on all the way, I have tried installing them in different positions but following the guidelines for where the magnet goes. No idea was hoping to find someone having the same issue.
