So in a moment of insanity I decided I would get new H/W to aid moving to HS3. I would virtualize HS2 environment and a have a separate virtual HS3 environment. It would allow for easy switching between the two while the migration was occurring.
I purchased 2 IP2SL from HS the one for the Ztroller works fine and one for a WGL800/ACRF2 combo.
However getting the one to connect the WGL800/ACRF2 will just not play, using VSPE and the IP2SL within a vmware guest machine.
Does anybody have such a configuration working? The Global Cache guys really do throw the IP2SL over the wall, solving one side of the problem and leaving the receiving end an exercise in user frustration.
Failing advise on how to make this H/W configuration work, pointers to known to work IP 2 serial with a vmware guest would be very helpful.
