    Pet Tracking

Am curious if this device will actually materialize in February.

If it does I wonder if someone can develop a plug-in for it....

I use the Tagg system at www.Pettracker.com. It is better than the one you referenced because it uses a cellular radio of some sort so you get updates on where the pet is when it goes outside of the home zone. No need for automation since they can notify you using eMail or SMS. The only downside is that the initial notification can take up to 3 minutes (that is how often the tagg polls the base station) and if my dog is chasing a deer, it can get pretty far in 3 minutes... but at least I know where he is so we can recover him.
    Regards,

    Rick Tinker (a.k.a. "Tink")

Looks cool but it would be nice to stay away from a monthly fee. What I really would like to have is an accurate way of tracking my cats inside the house. Making sure they are in the house or not. RFID looks promising but not sure it can be setup to detect inside vs. outside. Anyone know someone doing this?
