IT100 no longer arming DSC PC1616
I've been a way from my HA project for a bout a year when I switched Jobs (I shut everything down, until I could focus on it again) about a week ago I decided to start the project back over However I'm having a real head scratcher getting close to a Hair puller with the DSC it100 module. Any next steps or help is appreciated.
Scenario:
IT100 connected to PC1616 was able to arm and disarm about a year ago. After trying it again for the 1st time It doesn't seem like the Alarm and IT100 are communicating.
Debug:
1. the IT100 blinks green every 3/4 seconds as if it is communicating with the unit.
2.I've tried DLS2002 and it doesn't seem to communicate either.
3. I have all the COMs set to COM1.
4.I'm using a rs232 to rs232 straight cable to communicate between the it100 and PC.
Any clues on what I should try next? could the rs232 cable be bad? If the light is blinking should i rule out any issues with the Alarm?
