Danalock - Zwave lock, cant add - can support be added?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread. I've added mine after repeated attempts, I think distance related. But it keeps, maybe every 24-36 hours, going to status unknown and I have to put it back in zwave inclusion/exclusion mode on the lock, then it starts working again.

This didn't happen once in 6 months with Vera edge and Vera plus, so definitely the way it talks to either HS or my Aeon stick, which has the latest firmware.

Danalock V2

I installed the lock hardware fairly easily on my Kwikset deadbolt. The metal plate adapters were not in the same box as the lock, so don't throw the carton away without looking through all the boxes within it. However, could not add the lock to the Danalock app. Had to do a factory reset by pressing on the center 10 times & then on everything worked like a charm, including adding the lock to the app, calibrating it, and adding it to HS3 with the ZStick Plus Z-wave interface. I had my Windows 10 PC running my HS3 with the ZStick Plus within 3 feet of the Danalock & was able to add it to HS3 on my first try! HS3 recognized the lock correctly. The lock is sending locked/unlocked status to HS3. Was able to create an automation event to disarm my HAI OmniPro2 security panel when the lock is opened using Rob Mason's HAI Plugin!
Danalock should really publish the entire process on their website including the button presses for resets etc. The app does not give you the reset instructions if you are stuck during the process of adding the lock to the app. I had to wait for their responses by email, with the understandable absence of response over a weekend, and the expected delay given the different time zones, before I could make any progress. Other than that, once I added the lock, so far, I'm happy with it. The knock to open & autolock after open are still in beta. Planning on getting their BT Touchpad when available. It will be easier to give housekeeper/guests codes to use on the Touchpad rather than asking them to download and use the app. I rec you give it a try.

I see that Danalock has just released V2 of their lock. At CEDIA.

Does anybody know if the Danalock now works with Homeseer? In my case HS2.

Is it already safe to purchase the danalock or are there still issue's to be worked out? I realy need to know if it is working in HS3 before I purchase it..

Yes, I have a person I am working with who has been doing a great job of testing things so I hope to have all of the issues resolved soon. Many may be already.

Is the support for this lock still investigated?
I want to purchase one, since it would perfectly fit with the locking mechanisme of my front door. But I need HS3 to support this lock before I could use it.

Danalock just got with me and said the issue lies with Homeseer .... They do know of a firmware mod on their side that can fix the issue, I would need to send my lock back to them (Going to be alittle $$$ since its a ship to Europe).

Im going to send it in so I can actually start using my lock - But I know you guys were working on it as well, wasn't sure if you came up with anything on the HS side?

Thanks Rupp - Yeah, I know people have it working with other ZWave software ... So not sure why HS cant see it - It acts like the issues we saw with all locks and adding in the earlier betas of HS3...

No not that I know of. Rick is busy with getting a delivery out so it may be a while. Your best bet is to ensure this device is Z-Wave certified and if it is post that information here for future reference as HS3 is supposed to work with all Z-Wave certified devices.

Hey Rupp - Any chance anyone is looking at this? I know Danalock said they were going to this week, but they have no update either .... Just curious....

It probably is a rebrand actually ... Since they are the people who made both ... Status for me isn't a huge deal, I have some scripts for my droid's that will unlock the door when we get close, but since I cant get it into HS, its not helping
