Help with Insteon Setup

I have a couple of problems with the plugin:
1. On off buttons are reversed from what the z-wave and insteon x10 buttons are. I can change these in the device properties but as soon as I look away they change back.
2. Same is true of the status icons. I change them to what I want and they change right back when I go away.

Am I missing something? Is there a way to fix these?

You might have to redo your .ini file. It sounds corrupt. What I had to do was to make a new insteon.ini file. I renamed my old file insteonOld.ini. Then I created a new text file with notepad and call it insteon.ini and save it to your config folder of HS3. Then start to recreate your devices (do only 2 or 3) and make sure it is working. If it doesn't, you still have your old .ini file as a backup.

I had multiple on and off buttons on each line.
