    IR Trip Wire for HS?

I searched and didn't find a solid answer. I'm thinking about something like these
    http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc..._Security.html

But that can communicate with HS. Anyone have experience with this?

    Thanks!

You can get anything to talk to HS providing it has the right outputs on it, I'm not sure of a good supplier for alarm stuff in the US but you will probably find normal IR beam breaks for alarm systems will have a relay output (this is what you need to check). That relay output can be connected straight to a powerflash or it's z-wave equivalent and then you end up with the status of a HS device representing the IR. This for example docs-europe.electrocomponents.com/webdocs/0c0a/0900766b80c0a026.pdf you can see 'Alarm output (Rx): Relay (NO/NC) 1A / 120V AC' which is the sort of thing you want, you don't want something with any kind of pulsed or data output.

There are multiple options on Amazon and eBay. Here's one:

I'm not recommending it, just an example. It has relay out that can be input to an alarm panel or a digital input detector such as a power flash or a DS10/12.

This is a traditional trip wire. The ir is used to show friendlies the Lane location via their night vision.
