I am using an iPod Touch in an iPort to control homeseer. I have jailbroken the device to allow better control over controls - brightness, etc. I am trying to find a way to shut the back light on and off through homeseer control. I have a hack that creates a switch for the backlight, and I thought of using Activator, but so far the best option I can come up with is to send an email to the device and have it trigger bases on this. This has proven unreliable - too slow.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to send a command from homeseer to this device? Thanks.
