    What are your thoughts??

I think it's your typical overhyped article. I've had two Nest thermostats for almost a year and have had no problems what's so ever.

I suspect that if the person didn't follow the easy to install instructions, he/she probably made the problem!

I think there might be something to it, using solid state electronics instead of relays could cause problems in some systems.

Designing a thermostat to work with so many different systems, using a relay would probably be a better choice. But I doubt it's much call for alarm yet.

It's always a good idea to keep an eye on what your system is doing. (This person's NEST was running AC in the winter without the fan)
