USB-UIRT not working anymore - standard iR capability/

I have an iR interface on my HTPC for Media Center, and this same, always on, micro PC runs my HS3 Pro interface. My USB-UIRT has ceased to function, but my standard (eHome/HP) iR interface works great. Any way to enable this with HS3 the way it handled USB-UIRT? It's a shame that the plugin is specific to that particular iR interface vs. more generic...
