Yeah, I think there are a lot of issues with the ZRTSI. And it's expensive.
I have been keeping an eye open for the new RFXtrxE but have yet to see one. It might not hurt to give rollertrol a call though. They seem to be really helpful.

The version sold by Rollertrol is the RFXtrx433 without Somfy support.
The current firmware supports up to 30 RTS motors. The next firmware version will support up to 40.
The range depends also on the building material used.
The RFXtrx433E will have at least the same range as the Somfy remote.

The RFXtrx433E has additional hardware to be able to transmit Somfy RTS commands.
The frequency used in the US is the same as in Europe.

I haven't been able to find anything else that looks as nice as that tilt motor that doesn't require fabricating something from a servo motor, etc.
I also like the idea of using the RFXtrx433E to control the motor instead of having to get the URTSI-II interface, (added benefit of other sensors talking to the RFXcom) but I haven't been able to find a good source for the version "E" in the USA.
If you find something else i'd be interested in hearing what you end up doing. This is something I want to add to my system soon as well.

Somfy motor for blinds
Does anybody use these or something similar. http://www.automatedshadestore.com/s...ds-pid120.html Would you mind sharing your set up. What is required to run this with HomeSeer. I did a search and there is a little bit of discussions but not a lot of information. Also most of the post a pretty old and for some reason most from the UK. Before I do like I normally do and rush out and buy something I want to make sure I buy something that works. Any information appreciated.Tags: None
