Can this Roomba WiFi unit on Kickstarter work on homeseer??

Hi Bram,

I also pledged for this project, and I am also very interested in the API.

I dont think it is to hard to create an Homeseer interface as far as Ive seen in the api documentation

I ordered also one for my latest roomba serie incl the apple chip
I already have the wifi controller form Thinking Cleaner for the 600 serie and is working great.
integrating with Homeseer should be very easy, you can get json or xml and also give the commands this way.
finally a good stearing controller for the iRoomba

Great you both work on this. Bart created a script for Thinking Cleaner, and Rien is working on a plugin. I am member of the Thinking Cleaner development team so if you need any assistance just let us know bij mailing support@thinkingbits.nl , it might also be cool and more fun to work together with your fellow user to optimise the details.
We don't have a HomeSheer to test, there are soooo many systems available that it is hard for us to work on all./..

For those of us that have a Roomba 700/800 series, it looks like they are going to attempt another Kickstarter campaign soon. Hopefully this one goes well, I would love to integrate my Roomba with HS!

How reliable is the thining cleaner unit?
I have the roowifi right now and it keeps locking up and I have to pull the roomba battery to reset it.

I want it to just work

I've had really good luck with mine.

So I bought the thinking cleaner and it arrived Saturday, BUT I am having an issue. it seems to loose connection with Homeseer. the thinking cleaner device stops displaying the battery and other sataus levels after it has been sitting on charge for a few hours and it wont respond to commands. I know the unit is working as I can open the thinking cleaner app on my phone and start the roomba just fine from that. any one else experiance this issue? I was hopeing this woudl be a reliable device.

Follow up it seems to work if i keep debug ON .

anyone else using this and noticed any issues??
