What COM ports can we use?

Looks like I cannot use a high com number.
I am able to use the plugin on COM 2 or 3, but if I set my system to use COM 8, the plugin just ignores it and goes back to COM2.

Is that the intended behavior?

Personally I see this as a plugin glitch or some software / hardware issue you have going.

I am using serial port numbers up to com port 40 today on my Homeseer 2 box.

I did see some restrictions on port utilization when stuff was more hard coded back in the early 2000's with Homeseer.

Which Insteon plugin are you using? The older outdated HomeSeer plugin or the newer 3rd party plugin by Mark?
