I just got an email on this and checked it out. They say it will have an 'open' API. And claim to be more open then Echo.
I am in for 3. So fingers crossed that HomeSeer steps up and integrates it. Or someone else. -
The indiegogo and kickstarter things I'd take with a grain of salt. There definitely are some success stories, but so many failures . . . .
Further, it's difficult to see how they would be able to compete with the muscle of Amazon. I wouldn't expect HST to spend time to develop anything for ivee unless and until ivee becomes very, very popular. Frankly, I was a little surprised about the resources dedicated to Echo, since while getting a lot of press, doesn't seem to have been a huge seller for Amazon (and Amazon is known to cut its losses).Comment
